Adobe 3D OEM Platform The APEX OEM platform gives software application developers direct API access to powerful Adobe libraries which run in the background to enhance or extend your 3D application. Through the Adobe OEM Platform program, applications can access data from 25+ popular 3D CAD formats, publish data-rich 3D PDF files and deliver advanced publish/ review/collaboration solutions.

Using the APEX OEM Platform, applications can access native CAD geometry as either a precise surface (B-Rep) definition or a tessellated visual representation, and access the part and assembly information to reconstruct object hierarchies as well as associated metadata such as PMI information. 3D PDF Publishing

The PDF format now incorporates the ability to contain highly complex 3D engineering documents in the ISO standard PDF format including B-Rep geometry, visualization PMI and attribute/hierarchy information. This enhanced format is fully supported by the Acrobat Reader, which is capable of displaying all 3D and associated information. The Acrobat Reader is available on almost every desktop as standard as a free download from Adobe.

Through the APEX OEM Platform, your application can offer direct generation of highly compressed 3D PDF files.

These 3D PDF files may then be viewed by Acrobat Reader on virtually any PC; from the engineering shop floor to the executive boardroom.
