Adobe LiveCycle® ES

Enterprise software solutions that are developed and deployed for manufacturing workflows can now bundle with Adobe LiveCycle ES® (Enterprise Suite) for better exchange of product information across a broad spectrum of PLM activities. Available exclusively through Tech Soft 3D on an OEM basis, LiveCycle ES allows companies  to create custom processes to gather data from various sources (including PLM, ECM and CRM systems) and produce interactive and compelling PDF documents.

TS3D’s Adobe offering includes LiveCycle Foundation, which provides underlying server capabilities, configuration/administration tools and a central repository for process management. Licensees also receive LiveCycle Workbench ES, an integrated development environment for designing specific workflows to access, manage and present key enterprise data.

In addition to Foundation and Workbench, LiveCycle OEM partners gain access to three key modules designed specifically to help manufacturing organizations enhance collaboration and improve workflow efficiency, both within a global enterprise and without, via the standard PDF format and ubiquitous Acrobat Reader.

3D PDF Generator:   Through the 3D PDF Generator module, organizations can easily automate and manage the conversion of complex 2D and 3D CAD design, PMI and other engineering data into compact, secure 3D PDF files that are both information-rich and easy to share. User Interaction controls provide the option of password-protecting documents and restricting the printing, copying, modifying or extracting of content. Organizations’ trusted PDF documents can now contain 2D/3D design data, parts lists, and information from various applications such as Microsoft Office, and much more.

Reader Extensions:  Using the native PDF publishing ability of LiveCycle, organizations can apply “Reader Extensions” to their generated PDF content, activating a rich palette of otherwise unavailable functions when read into any Acrobat application such as the free Adobe Reader. Recipients of reader-extended PDFs can save, fill-in, annotate, sign, mark-up and submit PDF documents and forms, all of which can be captured and managed centrally via LiveCycle . Reader Extensions may be applied to a single document or in a batch using pre-determined publishing “rules” and templates.

Forms:  The LiveCycle Forms module working alongside LiveCycle Workbench, enables developers to collect and manage data efficiently from custom forms to help users securely and cost-effectively extend their core business processes externally. Applications can create and deploy XML-based form templates such as PDF, SWF or HTML for use with Adobe Reader, Flash Player software or web browsers.  Captured data is then automatically transmitted directly and accurately into the organization’s core systems.
